I last raced on this circuit prior to the updates that make it eligible for Grand Prix motor racing, but the changes do not make a huge difference. It’s still extremely hilly, with a mixture of very demanding corners. The first corner is a banked high-speed hairpin, which I believe is reprofiled but has the same characteristics. The same applies to the wall-of-death, sorry, Hugenholtzbocht, which no longer had a retaining wall delineating the circuit boundary. The final two corners are pretty much the same, but faster.

Part of the circuit updates has been the renaming of the cigarette-sponsored corner to something more palatable, while the overall challenge is enhanced. While slipstreaming does reduce the driver’s advantage, the skills required still conspire to reward the more advanced drivers.
